Yes, PDPC receives complaints relating to the misuse of Personal Data and violations of the Personal Data Protection Act, Chapter 44 of 2022.
You may submit a complaint to PDPC through either of the following two channels:
(a) Online Submission
Visit the PDPC official website:
Scroll down and click on the section labeled “Complaints.” Thereafter, complete and submit the Complaint Form (Form No. 1).
Please note: All six (6) pages of the form must be completed in order to successfully submit the complaint.
(b) Physical Submission at PDPC Offices
You may also submit your complaint by visiting any of the following PDPC offices:
• PDPC – Dodoma Office: Located at the Ministry of Works Building (Moshi Street)
• PDPC – Zanzibar Office: Located at Bombay Bazar Building
Upon arrival at either office, you will be required to fill in the Complaint Form (Form No. 1) to complete the complaint submission process.
Please note: You are advised to bring copies of all relevant supporting documents related to your complaint.
Yes. You may submit a complaint to PDPC on behalf of another Person where the Data Subject whose privacy rights have been violated is:
- A child (below the age of 18 years);
- A patient; or
- A deceased person.
